What to Do When Clearing Out Your Vehicle
Remember to Collect These Items:
- Toll transponder
- Parking pass or sticker
- Garage door remote
- Personal items, including:
- Contents in the glovebox, center console and trunk
- Contents under the mats and seats and above the visors
- That CD still in the dash radio
- Undamaged roof or bike racks
- Portable GPS systems
- Other electronics, chargers and phone mounts
And Don’t Forget to Bring:
- A screwdriver to remove your plates, when applicable
- Spare keys to leave with the tow yard or body shop
- A flashlight (regardless of the time of day)
- Gloves and proper footwear
- Boxes to hold your items
1. Grab Your Stuff 
- Call ahead to confirm the shop is open and the vehicle is accessible.
- Provide the shop or tow yard verbal or written release to move the vehicle to salvage.
- Remove all personal contents from the vehicle.
2. Find Your Title 
- Please attempt to locate your title. If you cannot find it, please discuss next steps with your adjuster.
3. Settlement 
- Your adjuster will contact you to discuss settlement and payment options.
