Reimagine Claims Communication with Hi Marley Connect and Hi Marley’s Guidewire ClaimCenter Accelerator

Hi Marley has over 70 APIs and webhooks that carriers can use to integrate Hi Marley functionality into their core systems, including Guidewire ClaimCenter. We offer integration accelerator code packages for ClaimCenter Versions 9, 10 and Cloud.

During a recent webinar, Hi Marley’s Senior Solution Engineer, Kevin Roller, explored how Hi Marley’s Guidewire ClaimCenter integration and the Hi Marley Connect browser extension work together to create a streamlined claims experience.

Hi Marley’s Implementation Approach

When carriers integrate Hi Marley with ClaimCenter, they benefit from workflow and manual task automation, data synchronization, core system audit readiness and more.

To add Hi Marley to ClaimCenter, Hi Marley partners closely with carriers through five distinct phases to ensure a high-value integration:

  1. Discovery– Hi Marley works with the customer to review business needs and integration options.
  2. Planning– We determine a timeline and requirements for implementation
  3. Implementation- Teams implement the ClaimCenter Accelerator using a Hi Marley testing environment
  4. Testing– Technical and business validation of the implementation ensures everything works properly and meets expectations
  5. Production Roll-Out– Once QA testing is done, the customer can release the integration to adjusters who can start using Hi Marley functionality within ClaimCenter immediately

Hi Marley carriers can start using Hi Marley Connect first and then start working on the Guidewire ClaimCenter Accelerator. “Using Hi Marley Connect first is super beneficial because you can have Hi Marley essentially integrated into your claim system without having to do too much work,” said Kevin.

What is Hi Marley Connect?

Hi Marley Connect is a browser extension that allows users to access Hi Marley from anywhere. An adjuster can open a side panel with one click and manage all their Hi Marley conversations without leaving their system of record.

“It’s a browser extension that is essentially the same thing as the web application,” said Kevin. “It allows carriers to deploy this relatively quickly and still offers Hi Marley’s continuous innovation and improvements. So, the adjuster can use any new features and functionality without devoting IT team capacity.”

When Hi Marley Connect matches phone numbers in the claim system with existing Hi Marley conversations, users will see a red “Hi” icon next to the phone number. Clicking the red icon brings them directly to the conversation in Hi Marley Connect. If the icon is gray next to a phone number, there is no existing conversation. In this situation, Hi Marley Connect will open a case creation form if a user clicks the gray icon. Then, the adjuster can enter new case information on the screen without navigating between tabs. It allows faster and more seamless case creation.

“Adjusters can see existing Hi Marley conversations and start new conversations without leaving their claim system at all,” said Kevin.

The Benefits of Hi Marley Connect Combined with Hi Marley’s ClaimCenter Accelerator

Hi Marley Connect is great for leveraging Hi Marley’s features and functions while working across systems.  And the Guidewire ClaimCenter integration automates manual tasks and workflows to make adjusters’ lives easier.

Once a carrier installs the Guidewire ClaimCenter Accelerator, users will see a new tab called “Hi Marley Cases.” This tab displays all of the Hi Marley cases associated with a claim in Guidewire.

Data parity is also a powerful benefit of the Hi Marley ClaimCenter integration. With linked conversations, any new photo or video received will automatically save in the ClaimCenter Documents tab without additional action from the adjuster. The integration also automatically saves the conversation transcript to the claim file, allowing users to download the transcript anytime.

Furthermore, Hi Marley administrators can control the Hi Marley experience within Guidewire through roles and permissions. They can also use feature flags that turn functionality on or off without involving the IT team.

“The beauty of Hi Marley’s ClaimCenter Accelerator paired with Hi Marley Connect is that you don’t need to follow the typical integration path,” said Kevin. “Once you have Hi Marley Connect and our code package installed, you don’t need to think about specific API endpoints. You don’t have to think about the send message API, or the message web hook. It’s a much smaller code package that will deliver a lot of value for those automated workflows and data parity. Those two things paired together are really powerful.”
